Hello, take a seat, get comfy! Life throws a lot at us, and it can feel like an uphill battle. So, let me start with this – no matter how messy it may seem, I’m here to listen. It can sometimes feel that society, our generation, or our own community has not prioritized our emotional wellbeing. This is our time to navigate the potentially spooky world of vulnerability in a nonjudgmental space. Whether it means we’re going to dive into some anxious or depressive thoughts and feelings, explore life transitions you’re going through, or hold space for processing any trauma, this is where we work as a team to navigate these challenges.
I provide both virtual and in-person sessions for individuals. I use an approach that works to bridge action steps with emotional attunement. With CBT, Solution-focused techniques, and Polyvagal Theory, I am here to help you discover what path you want to walk.
If you find yourself seated across from me, I am a listener, an advocate, and a collaborator. If you can put up with the occasional pun or dad joke, I hope to hear from you! Here at Born to Bend Mental Health & Wellness, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental environment. LGBTQIA+ individuals, persons of color, and others marginalized by society are welcome.

Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.
Whether life feels like an endless to-do list or more like you’re calmly sipping tea while everything around you burns, you’re not alone — and it doesn’t have to stay this way. My goal is to help make life feel less overwhelming and more meaningful.
I believe therapy is a journey toward greater joy, deeper connections, and emotional stability. And like any worthwhile journey, there should be space to laugh, reflect, and sometimes even cry.
One of the most important steps in that journey is choosing who will walk alongside you. So let me introduce myself.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) at Born to Bend Counseling. My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, creativity, and a good dose of humor. I often use metaphors and storytelling to help bring clarity and connection to the therapeutic process.
While I tailor my approach to each individual, I draw most frequently from motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness practices, and cognitive behavioral techniques. No one-size-fits-all here — just what works best for you.
If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, I’d love the opportunity to meet and explore how we can work together.
Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.

So, you’re considering therapy? Great! Knowing where to begin can be confusing, but not to worry; I am here to guide you through it, and it starts by trying to find the right therapist…Hi, I’m Ethan!
My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and tailored to who you are. We’ll laugh, reflect, andmaybe even uncover things you didn’t know were holding you back. During sessions my focus is on you—your story, your journey, and your unique strengths. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore, grow, and thrive. Think of me as your co-pilot on this adventure. You’re in the driver’s seat, but I’m here to help navigate when things feel uncertain or overwhelming.
Teenagers today are tasked with navigating the challenges of life while also continuing to develop their personal identity. It can be difficult to put these experiences into words, and I have found that creating space for them to identify their feelings can help them better make sense of the world around them. Additionally, adulthood often comes with its own set of struggles and challenges that I enjoy helping individuals navigate.
I believe we are all experts on our own lives I primarily use a person-centered approach. I aim to meet you where you are to foster personal growth and self-discovery. I also draw from Gestalt therapy to explore the holistic connection between your thoughts, emotions, body, and environment.
We’ll work together to deepen your awareness of the present moment and uncover patterns that may be holding you back. By integrating these approaches, I aim to empower you to navigate life’s challenges with authenticity, resilience, and balance.
When I am not being a therapist, I enjoy playing pickleball, watching the latest shows or movies, hiking, and frequenting local coffee shops. I also find joy and comfort in rewatching Ted Lasso, and I strive to live my life by one of his quotes, “Be curious not judgmental.”

I enjoy working with clients who are actively seeking growth, self-awareness, personal transformation, and a deeper connection to themselves. If you’re on a quest to understand yourself better, overcome barriers, explore intersectionality of various parts of your identity, or cultivate resilience, you’ve come to the right place. I love working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families by challenging intergenerational patterns and beliefs systems. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, gender celebratory, and sex positive. Together we’ll explore your values, aspirations and the broader context of your experiences, including how systems of power and privilege may influence your life.
I believe in creating a warm and inviting environment where individuals can feel safe to express themselves openly. My approach is integrative, combining evidence-based techniques with empathy and understanding. I draw from various therapeutic modalities, including minority stress theory, narrative theory, decolonizing therapy, and systems theory, tailoring my methods to fit each individual’s unique needs. My goal is to empower you to explore your own self-worth, lighten the invisible emotional weight you might be carrying, and dig deeper into reaching your full potential while developing a more integrated version of yourself.
Together we’ll work on deconstructing unhealthy narratives, forms of oppression, prejudice, biases, and discrimination while developing strategies to help you move forward with the power to speak your own truth and express your own voice. We will explore what is holding you back and create a roadmap that aligns with your authentic self. My goal is to empower you to make informed choices, fostering a sense of empowerment and confidence in your decisions.
I’m here to offer support, a different perspective, and encouragement as you explore yourself and discover a path that resonates with you.
